Maggie & Ryan Hudspeth
The Hudspeth Family has been visiting Glen Arbor every year since 1997, calling it home during the summer. After welcoming their son Brayden, authors Ryan & Maggie were inspired to write Goodnight Leelanau to commemorate and share their family traditions of countless summers in Leelanau County. Their overwhelming love for the area has created lifelong memories and led to naming their energetic, adventurous dog Leland.
About The Illustrator:
Kaarin Herendeen is the third generation of Hoosiers to call Glen Arbor home. As a new graduate from Indiana University’s School of Nursing, Kaarin will work as a nurse in Traverse City while continuing her love of drawing and painting. With a love for everything above and below Michigan's blue waters, Kaarin learned to free dive, fish, and wakeboard up north.
