One of only 10 four-year college coaches (NCAA and NAIA) to reach 900 wins, Larry Holley is the winningest coach in Missouri college basketball history. He won 918 games in his 50-year career. He won 15 different Coach of the Year awards and is a member of five different Halls of Fame. Over the course of his 40 years at William Jewell College, where he also starred for the Cardinals as a player, he had 24 different teams win at least 20 games in a season, reaching 30 wins on four different occasions.
But all those numbers pale in comparison to the number of lives he impacted as a coach who cared more about his players than their performances on the court.
